SUMMARY:Studio Two Beatles tribute concert returns April 11
DESCRIPTION:Studio Two will return to the Franco Center with their early Beatles tribute music 7 p.m. Friday\, April 11. \nSOLD OUT!\nBand members include Stephen Murray who portrays John Lennon\, Joshua Jones as Paul McCartney\, Robert Murray as George Harrison\, and Dylan Verge as Ringo Starr.  \nBand members are experienced musicians of today’s generation dedicated to preserving the memory and fan culture of The Beatles generation. By recreating the Fab Four’s music\, appearance\, instruments\, and onstage banter\, Studio Two performs favorite Beatles hits that will bring people to the dance floor.    \nAt age 11\, Steve Murray found an old guitar in the basement and has been playing ever since. A fan of many music genres\, he became a Beatles fan after watching The Beatles Anthology documentary series in November 1995.   \nHis grandfather bought him and his identical twin brother (who plays George Harrison in Studio Two) their first guitars: a Rickenbacker and Hofner bass and got them private guitar lessons. By the age of 12\, the brothers were winning talent shows and band competitions for playing Beatles tunes.    \nThroughout high school\, Steve played drums in an award-winning percussion ensemble and marching band\, but never strayed far from his true passion of Beatles rock. An accomplished musician\, Steve attended Berklee College of Music and played jazz and alternative rock music before co-creating Studio Two – The Beatles Tribute with his band mates.   \nIn addition to playing John Lennon\, Steve is a live sound engineer and currently serves as the band’s booking agent.   \n“As a trained musician\, I never expected to be playing in a Beatles tribute band\, but it has been an amazing experience. I am humbled to have an opportunity to portray John Lennon\, who is one of the most talented musicians and composers of all time\, and I am thrilled to bring Beatles music to a multitude of different generations. Best of all\, I get to do this with my brother and best friends\,” said Steve.   \nRob Murray picked up his first guitar at age 11 and has never been without one since.  Like his twin brother Steve\, Rob was turned on to The Beatles by watching The Beatles Anthology documentary series in 1995. He is a Beatles trivia master and is particularly knowledgeable about the equipment The Beatles used – especially vintage microphones.   \nAs a young musician\, Rob played drums in an award-winning percussion ensemble and marching band\, and continued to play guitar\, often winning talent shows and band competitions for playing Beatles tunes.   \nA graduate of Berklee College of Music\, Rob is a trained guitarist with strong audio engineering skills. For example\, he has been involved in helping Beatles documentary filmmakers to sync Beatles audio to rare concert footage.   \nWhen he co-founded Studio Two in 2012\, all of Rob’s talents were put to use. In addition to playing George Harrison\, Rob is the equipment guru\, hunting flea markets\, estate sales\, and eBay to assemble the authentic gear the Beatles used in the early 1960s.   \n“Playing George Harrison and re-enacting Beatles’ performances from the early years has been a thrill. I love the vintage equipment and raw sound of the Beatles’ Hamburg era\, and we take special care to ensure the look and sound is as close to authentic as possible\,” said Rob. “Studio Two has been an amazing journey\, and every day I look forward to meeting both old fans of The Beatles and new fans of Studio Two!”   \nDylan Verge is a Boston native entering his senior year at Berklee College of Music. He was awarded the J. Curtis Warner City Music Full Scholarship to the institution where he is pursuing his studies in the CWP major (Contemporary Writing and Production). Verge has been Influenced by Beatles music since he witnessed footage of the four lads rocking the nation on the Ed Sullivan Show in February 1964 when he was four years old.   \nJoshua Jones is flying in from Seattle\, Washington to perform with Studio Two. Jones will portray Paul McCartney. He is a self-taught left-handed bass player. Jones tours with Beatles tribute bands all over the world.    \nEvent sponsors are: \nAnn’s Flower Shop \nPlatz Associates

SUMMARY:Amy Stacey Curtis – Healing Through Music July 30 at the Franco
DESCRIPTION:The Franco Center proudly welcomes Maine’s own Amy Stacey Curtis for a moving and inspiring musical performance from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday\, July 30. Curtis\, the 2025 winner of Maine’s Got Talent\, will take the stage to share her story of resilience and recovery through music. \nAfter a debilitating brain injury caused by untreated Lyme disease in 2017\, Curtis faced a long road to recovery—progressing from a wheelchair to a walker\, then a cane\, and finally back on her feet. Though mobility returned\, her speech remained impaired. Searching for a way to rebuild her neural pathways\, she turned to music—specifically\, the ukulele. \nThrough weekly practice and the challenge of learning five new cover songs every week\, Curtis not only regained her ability to speak normally in calm settings but also discovered a powerful way to connect and inspire others. With over 500 songs now under her belt and one ukulele performance garnering more than 600\,000 views online\, she is a rising musical voice in Maine and beyond. \nIn addition to performing regularly at Fast Breaks’ Monday night open mic in Lewiston\, Curtis shares her music on Facebook\, Instagram\, YouTube\, and TikTok\, where her blend of vulnerability and artistry continues to move audiences. \nThis special performance at the Franco Center is more than a concert—it’s a celebration of strength\, creativity\, and the healing power of music. \nEvent Details:\n📍 Franco Center\, 46 Cedar St.\, Lewiston\, ME\n📅 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday\, July 30\n🎟️ $10 donation at door \nJoin us for an evening that will uplift and inspire!

SUMMARY:Celebrate iconic female singers with Crowned28
DESCRIPTION:March is Celebrate Women Month! \nCome to the Franco Center at 7 p.m. Saturday\, March 27\, 2027 and celebrate iconic female singers with the trio Crowned28. \nCROWNED28 is a high-impact live concert driven by Jordan Quinn’s extraordinary range and versatility. Joined by Aysa Carnucci and Mariah Delage\, Quinn moves seamlessly across eras and styles\, transforming into icons like Dolly Parton and Lady Gaga through striking costume changes. Featuring powerhouse solos\, rich three-part harmonies on anthems like “She Works Hard for the Money” and “Edge of Seventeen\,” and dynamic choreography in songs like “Holding Out for a Hero\,” the show delivers a fully staged\, immersive concert experience.  \n Tickets $35 in advance \nSponsors \n  \nJORDAN QUINN  \nLEAD VOCALIST/CREATOR OF CROWNED28  \nJordan is the lead performer and creator of CROWNED28\, a theatrical tribute show based in Manchester\, NH that celebrates the voices and legacies of iconic women in music. A self-taught vocalist with powerhouse influences like Whitney Houston\, Ariana Grande\, Freddie Mercury\, and Michael Jackson\, she performs as 25 different women in the show — each one a tribute to the icons who shaped her.  \nWith a background in theatre and a passion for storytelling through song\, Jordan built Crowned28 from the ground up to break free from the limitations of traditional auditions and show the world what she’s truly capable of. Her mission: to create a space where talent isn’t confined to 36 bars and five-minute decisions — but given a full spotlight. With theatrical flair\, live vocals\, and fearless range\, Jordan is redefining what a tribute show can be.  \nAYSA CARNUCCI  \nVOCALIST  \nAysa D. Carnucci is thrilled to “turn back time” and bring her inner Cher to life with CROWNED28. With over 11 years of performing arts experience\, both professional and community-based\, on or off stage\, Aysa has graced stages including The Palace Theater in Manchester\, NH and the Boston Center for the Arts. She brings a deep love for music\, performing and character to the stage. Her mission? To help people find their love and passion for music in ways they never thought possible. Getting people up and jumping around to the best vocals of our time. Endless thanks to friends\, family\, and fellow artists for their constant support!  \nMARIAH DELAGE  \nVOCALIST  \nMariah Delage is a high-energy performer with a burning passion to entertain.  \nAs a little girl\, she recognized performing as one of her true loves\, and continued chasing toward that dream fearlessly. She studied music throughout her middle/high schooling years\, and continued on to study performing arts in California\, where she attended college at the Young Americans College of Performing Arts. There\, she continued to build on a life long passion for performing.\n Influenced heavily by the soul roots of R&B and the punchy hooks of pop\, she brings emotion and raw\, authentic energy to each performance and stage she touches. She is so excited to share that same energy with the amazing cast of Crowned28 and YOU!\n Though currently based out of New Hampshire\, Mariah has earned recognition both locally and internationally\, including awards such as Top Female Vocalist in Nashville\, Tennessee and Best Voice in Keene in Keene\, New Hampshire.\n Her vision? To bring people together through the gift of music…to spark connection\, and create a safe space for everybody; to be\, to express\, & to feel.\n She wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and everyone for their ongoing support over the years. Without you\, there would be none of this. So deepest thanks and gratitude to you!\n Please feel free to follow her on social media as she continues her journey – @mariahdelage  \nDEREK TANCH  \nKEYS  \nDerek Tanch is a long time keyboardist and music educator by trade. His style of keyboard playing is heavily inspired by the likeness of Rick Wakeman\, Keith Emerson\, Jordan Rudess\, and the many others known for their contribution to keyboard-heavy progressive rock. He is a private piano teacher to upwards of 50 students and has been teaching for over a decade. He is also an independent artist\, being a member of the band Professor Caffeine & the Insecurities\, and the creator of a solo project called Mid Boss.  \n   \nIn the recent past he toured with the band Wanted DOA\, a Bon Jovi tribute band fronted by vocalist Rich Figurido\, who tragically passed away from melanoma in March of 2023. The band performed all over\, often at large venues in the state of NJ such as The Wave and Levoy Theater\, and at varying venues in the states of NY\, MD\, VA\, WV\, SC\, and FL.   \nFollowing the dissolution of Wanted DOA\, he continues to be active in the Bon Jovi Tribute arena; now working ever since as the sitting keyboardist for the band Living on a Bad Name\, a band whose travel record is as if not even more extensive.  \nHe is honored to be a part of the show CROWNED28 and greatly looks forward to providing for the audience the long overdue tribute to women in music they deserve. He and the rest of the band are confident you will not be disappointed.  \nGREG KIEFFER  \nGUITAR  \nHaving been playing for 25 years\, Greg started playing rock music as soon as he got his first electric guitar. With influences ranging from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Frank Gambale\, he’s been pushing his limits with the instrument at every opportunity. For the last 10 years he’s been playing on the rock and jam band scenes in the New England area\, and is in 2 original bands in addition to Crowned 28 that are expected to release music within the next few years.  \nSCOTT ARMSTRONG  \nBASS  \nScott Armstrong is a passionate and versatile musician whose journey began behind the drum kit and with a guitar in hand. From an early age\, Scott found comfort and expression through music\, using it as a powerful form of personal therapy and connection. Over the years\, his deep love for rhythm and melody evolved into a unique solo performance style that blends live instrumentation with modern looping techniques.  \nRecently stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist\, Scott crafts immersive soundscapes by seamlessly looping drums\, guitar\, and bass. His performances are carefully curated to create a warm\, inviting atmosphere—perfect for intimate venues and dining experiences where music becomes part of the ambiance.  \nScott thrives on building community through his music\, sharing his talents to bring people together and elevate the moment. With a heart for collaboration and a drive for authenticity\, he continues to explore new musical horizons.  \nScott is excited to be performing for CROWNED28\, and he looks forward to contributing his energy and sound to a vibrant and inspiring event.  \n
