DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, March 11\, 2023 at 7:30 pm and Sunday\, March 12\, 2023 at 3:00 pm\n \nMaine Music Society’s classical concert will feature two major works accompanied by string orchestra. First\, MMS will feature one of the most beloved choral works of the 19th Century\, Requiem by Gabriel Fauré. This seven-movement work focuses on eternal rest and consolation. MMS’s performance will be dedicated to the memory of the victims of Covid-19. \nAfter intermission\, MMS will perform the Sunrise Mass of Norwegian composer\, Ola Gjeilo.
