Doors open at 6pm. \nTICKETS are sold through the Orchestra: https://app.arts-people.com/index.php?actions=4&p=3 \nThe orchestra plays four regular concerts each season at the Franco Center in Lewiston. \nInvigorating Water Music\nRohan Smith\, Conductor \n  \nProgram: \nGeorge Frederic Handel: Water Music Suite\, Allegro and Hornpipe \nDuke Ellington: “The Spring” and “The Meander” from The River Suite \nCharles Ives: “The Housatonic at Stockbridge” from Three Places in New England \nBedřich Smetana: “The Moldau” from Má Vlast \nHenri Tomasi: Trombone Concerto \n— featuring  Joshua Zhang\, trombone soloist \nAlan Hovhaness:  And God Created Great Whales \nFelix Mendelssohn: Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage \nPyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: Swan Theme from Swan Lake\, Op. 20 \n— featuring Guest Conductor Kyle Almquist (MSO silent auction winner) \nA community-based organization\, the orchestra draws players and audiences from south of Portland to Rockland along the coast\, and inland from Augusta to the Lewiston-Auburn area. Its members all volunteer their time to practice and perform with the Midcoast Symphony. \nThe group has expanded in size and capability under the leadership of Rohan Smith\, Conductor and Music Director since 2003-2004. As its reputation grows\, the orchestra attracts ever more professional-caliber musicians and award-winning guest artists. \nTicket Info:\n\nMSO tickets are paperless. Buy them in advance up to 24 hours before each concert\, either online or via the Box Office. Check-in (“will call”) is in the lobby before the concert.\nAll concerts are general admission (no reserved seats.) Concerts are about 2 hours in length\, including intermission.\nBuying tickets at the door? Doors open at 6:15 pm for Saturday performances\, and 1:15 for Sunday performances.
