The host for the evening is Molly McGill. \nThe Maine’s Got Talent  fundraising event\, is open to all performing artists who live or work in Maine\, including out-of-state students attending Maine schools. The evening will begin with an opening set from Maine piano legend Dawson Hill performing classic Pink Floyd on a grand piano before the show is turned over to the dancer/artists/performers from Nevaeh Dance Circus for a multi-media dance immersion experience that brings together video\, circus/flow arts\, and contemporary dance all set to the legendary Pink Floyd album “Dark Side of the Moon.”\n\nTickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door day of show. Tickets are not being sold through the Franco Center. DESCRIPTION:Due to the tragedy affecting the community\, the Midcoast Symphony Orchestra will not be performing Saturday\, Oct. 28 at the Franco Center. Thank you for your understanding. Stay safe.\nAn important letter from the MSO President:\nDear MSO supporters – \nThis has truly been a week like no other we have ever experienced in Maine. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Lewiston community and especially those families who have been impacted by the senseless violence on Wednesday night. \nAs you can imagine\, the board of the Midcoast Symphony Orchestra have had some difficult conversations\, and have had to make some difficult decisions. \nThe MSO board met yesterday evening and discussed how best to proceed with Leonard Bernstein’s vision of making more music in the face of violence\, and yet making sure that our top priority is the safety of our musician family and our audiences. Given all that has happened over the past few days\, we have determined that it would be in everyone’s best interest to cancel our concert at the Franco Center on Saturday night. \nTicket holders for that concert (including subscribers) have several options for how to proceed and will receive an email with more information shortly. \nAt this time\, the Board has not yet made a decision about Sunday’s show at Orion. As you know\, the suspect is still at large\, so we have to wait and hope for some closure on this horrific episode before much longer. We expect to make a decision about the disposition of the Sunday matinee performance by 5pm on Saturday. \nShould you have any questions about our plans\, please feel free to call the MSO office at (207) 315-1712 or email info@midcoastsymphony.org. \nIn the meantime\, stay safe.
