Maine Music Society presents Elle Chante / She Sings on Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15.
This concert will feature a program of all-female composers, from art songs to arrangements of popular tunes. The concert will open with the Medieval music of Hildegard von Bingen. The Chorale will also explore the modern madrigals of Emma Lou Diemer, love songs of Elaine Hagenberg and gospel music of Rosephanye Powell. Finally, Dr. Nickerson will lead the Chorale on a journey into the more contemporary world with the music of Carole King, Joni Mitchell and others.
Saturday, May 14 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, May 15 at 3:00 pm, 2022 at the Gendron Franco Center
