Maine Music Society Remembrance & Hope Concert

Maine Music Society’s classical concert will feature two major works accompanied by string orchestra. First, MMS will feature one of the most beloved choral works of the 19th Century, Requiem by Gabriel Fauré. This seven-movement work focuses on eternal rest and consolation. MMS’s performance will be dedicated to the memory of the victims of Covid-19.
After intermission, MMS will perform the Sunrise Mass of Norwegian composer, Ola Gjeilo. This beautiful 4-movement work will be performed in celebration of recovery and hope and days ahead.
