LEWISTON—The Gendron Franco Center has announced the return of La Rencontre, complete with a lunch and live holiday music in its downstairs Heritage Hall. La Rencontre will be held on Thursday, Dec. 9. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for social time. Lunch is at 11:30 a.m. and consists of tourtiere, butternut squash soup, and cake.
La Rencontre (the gathering) is not restricted to French-speakers or even those of Franco descent. All are welcome to attend this event.
Musical entertainment will feature familiar performers including Nel Meservier, Melissa St. Pierre, Lorraine Giasson, Sue Caron, Debbie St. Pierre Robitaille, Bob Mathieu, and a special appearance by Mike Willette.
Tickets for La Rencontre must be purchased by noon on Dec. 6 and are $15. The price includes the meal and entertainment.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Gendron Franco Center and its mission to preserve its home in the former St. Mary’s Church and to bring the best in arts and entertainment to the community.
