Fleetwood Mac tribute concert Nov. 22
LEWISTON—Crystal Vision, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, will perform at the Franco Center at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22. Crystal Vision provides an authentic experience of the iconic music and energy of Fleetwood Mac, complete with outfit changes and multi-media graphics. Their press kit states, “There are many Fleetwood Mac tribute bands nationwide and around the world, but what sets Crystal Vision apart is the authentic configuration of voices and instruments, and the resemblance of the three primary vocals to the originals. Loretta as Stevie, Jane as Christine, and Brendan as Lindsey all sound very much like their counterparts, and the blend of all the voices, with Mark and Wanda adding harmonies, can be breathtaking!”
Steve Cutting, a Crystal Vision and Fleetwood Mac fan, said, “This band is just flat out good, I would actually go so far as to say excellent, and I don’t say that lightly! If you have the opportunity to see this band, you should most definitely do that!”
Doors and cash bar open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door day of show. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.francocenter.org, by phone at 207-689-2000, or in person at the Franco Center’s box office which is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Meet the band
- Jane Clukey, Vocals/Keybd/Perc. Jane is a Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music. She combines the sultry vocal sound of Christine McVie with her keyboard flourish.
- Brendan Bracy, Vocals/Guitar. Brendan studied Music Composition, is an exceptional guitarist, and brings the Lindsey Buckingham trademark energy to the band.
- Loretta Leighton, Vocals/Percussion. Loretta began performing at age 3 with her dad. She studied classical singing at Oxford, then embraced pop/rock music, and Stevie Nicks!
- Daniel Willertz, Drums/Violin. Daniel is an accomplished musician with mad drumming skills and violin expertise. Like Mick Fleetwood, he drives the music with flair.
- Mark McNeil, Vocals/Bass/ Guitar. Mark brings vast musical talent and experience to the band. Through his solid bass and unassuming presence, he epitomizes John McVie.
- Wanda McNeil, Vocals/Keybd/Perc. Adding critical embellishments through harmony, keyboard, and percussion, Wanda mirrors the supporting role of Sharon Celani.
The Franco Center is at 46 Cedar Street, Lewiston. Parking is in the Oxford Street mill lot and in the nearby Chestnut Street parking garage. There is also parking in the corner lot at Cedar and Lincoln streets. Handicap parking is available near the elevator on the Lincoln St. Alley side of the building and also in the parking lot.
