Updated to add: The Basilica is creating a home for religious items from local Catholic churches that have closed over the years. These items, such as our beautiful Madonna medallion, will be on display at the Basilica, an appropriate location for it.
LEWISTON–So many people have had an opportunity over the years to see this beautiful Madonna medallion that once graced the altar at the former St. Mary’s Church. This summer the medallion will be removed from the Franco Center and appropriately relocated to Sts. Peter and Paul Basilica in Lewiston. Bring your camera and take a picture of yourself and friends/family in front of the medallion soon! Our plan is to remove the medallion in July. To take advantage of this photo opportunity, visit the Franco Center during our regular box office hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
